Abstract

[spa] A través de un análisis hermenéutico del texto de Henry James 'La bestia en la jungla', se pretende reflexionar sobre la esencia de lo trágico contemporáneo, sobre la historicidad de la tragedia y sobre la conexión entre tragedia de la cultura (Simmel) y tragedia de la conciencia como fenómenos propios del Zeitgeist contemporáneo.

[eng] Through an hermeneutics of Henry James's 'The Beast in the Jungle', the author thinks about the essence of the contemporary tragedy and the historicity of tragedy, and about the links between the tragedy of culture (Simmel) and the tragedy of consciousness of our Zeitgeist.
