This Special Issue, which comprises 18 peer-reviewed papers, is the outcome of the Floods Working Group (FWG) session entitled "Multidisciplinary reconstruction of paleofloods" held at the PAGES OSM Conference (Past Climate Changes - Open Scientific Meeting) from 9-13 May 2017 in Zaragoza, Spain. Sixteen oral contributions and eighteen posters from most continents were presented and lively discussion ensued.
