[cat] Un dels camps que suscita molt interès tant en neurociència cognitiva com també en educació està encaminat a definir la relació entre la motricitat i el desenvolupament de les funcions executives al llarg de la infància. La voluntat de traslladar els coneixements d’aquest camp d’investigació a l’àmbit educatiu està generant debats transcendents entre diferents autors sobre aspectes fonamentals com: A) analitzar el paper de la motricitat en la maduració de les Funcions executives; B) Estudiar les característiques pròpies de l’activitat motriu en relació amb les funcions executives; i C) Investigar el paper que juguen les Funcions Executives durant l’aprenentatge. L’article pretén relacionar ambdós camps de recerca, definir quines són les línies d’investigació on hi poden col·laborar i obrir perspectives on els seus resultats esdevinguin significatius en l’aprenentatge i el desenvolupament dins l’àmbit de l’escola. Pretén, a més, ser útil no només als investigadors sinó també als professionals de l’educació.

[eng] One of the research fields provoking a lot of interest both in cognitive neuroscience and in education aims to define the relationship between motor skills learning and the development of executive functions, during childhood. The goal of transferring the benefits of knowledge from this research field into educational practice is generating important debate, such as: A) Analyzing the role that motor skills play in the maturity of executive functions; B) Studying the specific characteristics of motor activity in relation to executive functions; and C) Investigating the role of executive functions during Physical Education learning. The article aims to relate the research fields, to define the research lines along which they can collaborate, and to suggest perspectives through which the results can become significant for learning and development in the school environment. Moreover, we expect it to be useful not only for researchers but also for professionals in the educational field.
