The Majorcan poetess Maria Antònia Salvà translated to catalan, during the first thirty of XX century, numerous poems from Giovanni Pascoli's works. Altough a large number of them remained unpublished, these poetic version were really important to the Hispanic fortune of Pascoli, because they constitute the first and only translations of his poems to an Iberian language before the Spanish Civil War. This paper collects historical informations about them and explains the history of their composition and publication. Lastly it analyses some translation by the linguistic and stylistic perspective with a special attention to the fonosymbolic value of the poems.
