L’IBEI és un institut interuniversitari que es va fundar l’any 2004 com a esforç compartit per part de les cinc universitats públiques de l’àrea metropolitana de Barcelona per impulsar la formació de postgrau i la recerca en l’àmbit de la política i relacions internacionals.
