In this paper, we analyse the archaeological remains of the domus of Avinyó from the Roman city of Barcino. This house is located in the Southeast of the city, bordering the intervallum. Although the partiality of the remains, the architectural study of the rooms, as well as the parietal and mosaic decoration analysis have allowed us to detect the excavated area of the house as a representation space of the domus. The three preserved rooms have been identified as a possible domestic unit belonging to a rich domus of the high imperial Barcino. |
