This article is about the elaboration of personalized questionnaires to aid the students learn the most relevant course concepts. It proposes a separated organization of the different types of knowledge involved in this process: conceptual, linguistic, about the question format and the student level. The organization proposed is based in the representation of the basic course concepts as particular cases of general meta-concepts. By separating the general facts that can be reused across concepts from those more specific the effort needed to elaborate a new questionnaire is reduced. Following this organization, questionnaires for a university course on programming in C++ have been elaborated. The use of these questionnaires in class is explained in the paper. Recent work on the development of a prototype to generate semi-automatically these questionnaires is also described. |
