Abstract:	Los puertos se han convertido en centros logísticos de transporte intermodal de primer orden, en los que se realizan otras muchas actividades de valor añadido. En este texto se describen las funciones de los puertos en el contexto del transporte internacional de mercancías así como su clasificación y sus tendencias de futuro.
