Asistencia sanitaria transfronteriza: algunas pinceladas a la luz de la Directiva Comunitaria

[spa] El presente escrito tiene por objeto poner de manifiesto los aspectos más relevantes de la recién aprobada Directiva sobre asistencia sanitaria ansfronteriza. No es intención de la autora realizar aquí un análisis exhaustivo ni crítico del texto, en base a los documentos precedentes ni a los Reglamentos de coordinación en materia de Seguridad social. Sin embargo, sí es necesario enunciar la importancia de la presente norma a efectos de ordenar, clarificar y planificar las actuaciones futuras de los Estados miembros a fin de garantizar una efectiva, segura y de calidad libre circulación de pacientes en la Unión Europea.

[eng] This article is to highlight the most important aspects of the recently adopted Directive on cross-border healthcare. It is not the author's intention to perform here an exhaustive analysis or critical text, based on the foregoing documents or the Regulations of Coordination on Social Security. However, it is necessary to identify the importance of this standard in order to organize, clarify and plan the future actions of the Member States to ensure an effective, safe and free movement of patients as in the European Union.
