Percepción de la demanda y métodos de evaluación de la potencialidad turística de los recursos atmosféricos en Cataluña

[spa] Este artículo muestra cómo se pueden incorporar las preferencias de los turistas en los métodos de evaluación de potencialidad turística de los recursos atmosféricos, así como los inconvenientes, las ventajas y las limitaciones derivados de la propuesta de estudio. En este caso, el método de los tipos de tiempo de Besancenot, Mounier y de Lavenne (1978) y Besancenot (1985, 1991) se configura como un buen procedimiento de análisis, ya que rechaza la utilización exclusiva de un solo elemento atmosférico y de valores medios para recurrir al dato diario y a los estados verdaderos del tiempo, lógicamente permitiendo la incorporación de las preferencias que manifiestan los turistas que visitan la zona de estudio elegida: Cataluña.

[eng] The many links that exist between tourism and the atmospheric elements point to the need to evaluate the potential of the climate as a resource. The study of the spatial and temporal variations of the climate-tourist potential in Catalonia (Spain) is based on the classification of daily weather situations according to the main combinations of climatic variables in the study area, and adjusted to reflect bioclimatic criteria and tourist perceptions. The weather-types method adopted here (developed by Besancenot, Mounier and de Lavenne -1978- and Besancenot -1985, 1991-) involves classifying the daily weather conditions for one specific region according to the main combinations of the atmospheric variables experienced, and then conducting a frequency analysis of these conditions. This approach rejects both the exclusive use of one single climatic element and the use of mean values in favour of the daily weather actually experienced in a particular place.
