Pensamiento, perfomance y extensiones gráficas en «prenez soin de vous», de Sophie Calle

Abstract

[spa] El presente artículo deviene una aproximación sobre el proyecto de Sophie Calle, Prenez soin de vous, a fin de desvelar las razones de una propuesta performática que se origina empero desde y para las extensiones del pensamiento gráfico. Un texto y sus interpretaciones actúan como detonantes del proyecto. También el texto acompaña el proceso de creación de principio a fin, al operar como el testigo que la artista pasa a una mujer tras otra, para analizarlo, comentarlo y descifrarlo, para ella y para sí mismas, para las mujeres. Y, asimismo, un gran número de las tornas emitidas por las participantes adoptan formatos gráficos varios, tales como traducciones, relatos cortos, poemarios, ilustraciones, diseños gráficos, ensayos filosóficos, informes periciales… El proyecto destaca por constituir una deriva de la poética de los afectos, atendiendo el tema de los cuidados desde una perspectiva de género adulta. Pues Calle en Prenez soin de vous nos propone: cuidarse como sinónimo de proceso creativo; cuidarse como equivalente a tomarnos nuestro tiempo para inquirir, indagar y examinar los significados de lo aparentemente insignificante; y, por último, hacerlo en comunidad o cuidarnos en plural, interpelar a otras mujeres, solicitarles auxilio, ayuda y/o amparo. Todo ello, a modo de un ejercicio de resiliencia coral, y no exento de humor, que contribuye a desmontar ciertos prejuicios y estereotipos.

[eng] This article becomes an approach versus Sophie Calle’s project, Prenez soin de vous, in order to reveal the reasons for a performative proposal that originates however from and for the extensions of graphic thought. A text, together with the intention to interpret it, acts as the trigger for an artistic project. At the same time, the text guides the process of creation from the start to the end, working as the artist’s witness that she gives to one woman to another, for their analysis, comment and decipher, for her and for themselves, for the women. Also, a considerable part of the turns emitted by the participants adopt a graphic format: translation, stories, poetry, illustrations, designs, philosophical essays, expert reports... The project also stands out for its derivation from Poetics of Affection, dealing with the subject of care from an adult gender perspective. For Calle, in Prenez soin de vous, proposes taking care of oneself as synonymous with undertaking a creative process, taking care of oneself through artistic practice; taking care of oneself as equivalent to taking our time to inquire, investigate and examine the meanings of the insignificant, the emotions; and, finally, doing it in community or taking care of ourselves in the plural, questioning other women, asking them for help, aid or protection.
