Soberanismo: entre la soberanía y la independencia

[spa] En este artículo se exploran los diferentes rostros del nacionalismo actual a la luz del conflicto existente entre el independentismo catalán y el gobierno español, con especial énfasis en propuestas nuevas de nacionalismo que no son identitarias, como la efectuada por el pensador Xavier Rubert de Ventós. Más adelante, se conecta esta cuestión con la del soberanismo, desarrollando una serie de reflexiones y críticas a partir de la noción de soberanía de Jean Bodin, con el fin de demostrar las dificultades o incompatibilidades entre la democracia y la idea de soberanía. La democracia necesitaría la presencia de la contrademocracia, de una oposición auténtica, de una pluralidad real, para ser verdaderamente democrática. Por eso, la independencia, si quiere ser legítima y democrática, también debería luchar por hender o debilitar la idea de soberanía.

[eng] In this paper we explore different faces of current nationalism in relat ion to the conflict between the Catalan movement pro-independence and the Spanish Government, especially new currents of nationalism, which are not focused on identity, as the interpretation developed by the thinker Xavier Rubert de Ventós. Afterwards, we link this issue with the sovereignism, deploying some thoughts and criticisms about the concept of sovereignty of Jean Bodin, in order to show the difficulties or incompatibilities between democracy and the idea of sovereignty. Democracy would need the presence of counterdemocracy, the presence of an authentic opposition or a real plurality, in order to be really democratic. Therefore, independence, if it wants to be rightful and democratic, should fight in order to scarify or reduce the idea of sovereignty.
