Aportacions a l'estudi de l'aljama de jueus de Vic al segle XIII

Abstract

[cat] Aquest article aporta noves dades sobre la comunitat jueva de Vic al segle XIII: el primer jueu de Vic (Bonisaac, 1240), una major presència de jueus forans i la notícia més antiga de la sinagoga (1 de desembre de 1265). Els primers volums del Libri Judeorum de l'ABEV aporten 41 anotacions marginals que corresponen als noms dels deutors cristians (en català, però escrits en caràcters hebreus) del prestador jueu Eretó o del seu fill.

[eng] This article offers new information about the Jewish community of Vic in the 13th century including the first documentary evidence for a Jewish inhabitant (Bonisaac, 1240), the presence of foreign Jews and the oldest mention of the synagogue (1 December 1265). The first volumes of the Libri Judeorum from the ABEV give us 41 marginal annotations which correspond to the names of the Christian debtors (in Catalan, but written in Hebrew characters) of the Jewish moneylender Eretó or his son.
