This paper presents a solution for detecting and resolving conflicts in Intent-Based Networking (IBN) for transport connectivity services. As networks become more complex, IBN allows high-level, goal-oriented management, but conflicts between overlapping intents can degrade performance or security. The paper proposes a two-level conflict detection model—within a single intent (intra-intent) and between multiple intents (inter-intent)—focusing on key service quality attributes like latency, bandwidth, and packet loss. A resolution model combines priority-based allocation and weighted fair sharing to ensure fair resource distribution. The solution was validated using the ETSI TeraFlow SDN controller, showing fast conflict detection and resolution, typically within milliseconds. The results confirm its effectiveness for real-time network management in dynamic environments like IoT and 5G, 6G and beyond.
