The POCRISC EFA158/16 project, Towards a Common Culture of Seismic Risk, is 65% funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Interreg V-A Spain France Andorra programme (POCTEFA 2014-2020). It began in January 2018 and lasted for four years. The main objective of the project was to promote a common culture of seismic risk in the Pyrenees, developing common approaches to seismic vulnerability and risk, promoting the dissemination of seismic information to facilitate decision-making by local authorities and citizens. The project results include tools for automatic seismic damage estimation, the creation of a rapid damage report, the updating of automatic ground motion maps for the Pyrenees, and the assessment of post-seismic damage, which are useful for seismic emergency managers. Guidelines for seismic vulnerability assessment and aftershock analysis were also drafted. Finally, several workshops and a final simulation were organised to demonstrate the usefulness of the tools developed in the project.
