The objective of this project is to design and implement a control software for a test bench to automate the verification of induction cooktop generators. It has been carried out in collaboration with E.G.O. Appliance Controls, with the R&D department of Commercial Induction, dedicated to the research and development of induction cooktops. The test bench is a device that has already been worked on. It was used to ease test preparation, but several automation improvements were still needed to make it useful for the generator verifications. These improvements aim to automate the movements that were previously achieved and to control pre-designated tests without the need for a user to be present during them. This device has the ability to simulate the behaviour of a variety of ferromagnetic containers by moving the coil coupling and the value of a variable resistor. This work concludes this development project as a Final Degree Project. The workbench and its components will be presented along with a description of each one. The design and development of the control software and its interface will be explored, explaining how the movement of the bench, the operation of the generator, and the change in value in the variable resistance are automatically controlled.
