Constància i canvi: coexistència del patrimoni industrial i la transformació del barri del Poblenou

Abstract

El barri del Poblenou de Barcelona, històricament conegut pel seu passat industrial, ha sigut nucli de transformació i creixement de la ciutat durant les últimes dècades. Nous usos, arquitectures, urbanisme i espai públic, però també deteriorament, enderrocs i pèrdua de la memòria i identitat que tant el caracteritzava.

Els espais són la interacció i coexistència de nous elements amb les antigues arquitectures que han “sobreviscut” al canvi. La ciutat acaba sent un collage de decisions contraposades, amb objectius molt diferents, però totes elles causants de la disposició actual.

Des d’una mirada crítica, analítica i personal, es pretén recuperar el patrimoni que encara resta present avui en dia. Passant per una mirada al passat i l’evolució general del barri, fins a una visió més propera, dels tres únics recintes conservats amb el seu teixit històric i les intervencions que s’hi han realitzat, sense perdre mai la seva relació amb l’entorn.

The Poblenou neighborhood in Barcelona, historically known for its industrial past, has been a hub of transformation and growth for the city during the last decades. New uses, architectures, urban planning and public spaces have emerged, but also deterioration, demolitions and the partial loss of the memory and identity that once characterized it.

The spaces are an interaction and coexistence between the new elements and the old architectures that have “survived” the changes. The city ends up being a collage of opposed decisions, each one with different objectives, but all contributing to the current setup.

From a critical, analytical and personal perspective, the objective is to recover the heritage that still exists today. This involves looking and the past and the overall evolution of the neighborhood, as well as focusing on a closer view of the three reimaining industrial complex’ preserved with their historical paths and layout, to see the interventions that have been done, always with an urban perspective.
