Abstract

Cell migration is a fundamental mechanism in biology, including cancer or embryogenesis. Actin turnover plays a fundamental role in cell motility and it acts as an engine for the affective motion of motile cells by means of protrusive and retractile mechanisms conditioned also by myosin motors. Different mathematical and numerical models have appeared in literature to model cell migration. In this work we propose to use a FE model to describe and understand cell migration.
