Nota sobre reptiles ibéricos: III. Estudio preliminar sobre biometría y distribución de Elaphe longissima (Laur, 1768) en la península Ibérica. (Reptilia Colubridae)

Abstract

En esta primera nota, se describen 17 ejemplares de Elaphe longissirna Laur. 1768 procedentes de Cataluña y País Vasco, y que junto con otras citas de la especie, marcan la actual distribución en el N.E. de la Península Ibérica. De 10s datos biométricos se han obtenido unos indices de correlación que reflejan una clara proporcionalidad biométrica. Al mismo tiempo, se aportan algunas consideraciones sobre 10s biotopos en 10s que se han encontrado 10s diversos ejemplares, tanto en Cataluiia como en el País Vasco, asi como el Brea de dispersión que alcanza la especie en la Península lbérica.

In this first notice, there is a description of seven-teen specimens of the Elaphe longissima Laur. 1768 from Catalonia and the Vasc Country, that along with other sites of the same species denote its actual distribution in thc N.E. of the Ibcrian Peninsula. From the biometrical data it has been possible to obtain a certain l~umber of relating index which reflect an obvious biometrical relationship. At the same time, it gives a few considerations as to the biotops in which the specimens have been found, in Catalonia as well as in the Vasc Country, and also considers the dispersion area of the species in the Iberian Peninsula
