Leptotyphlopsis espanyoli n. sp. de Valls, Tarragona (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Osoriinae)

Abstract

When a berlese funnel extraction was carried out on the roots of some dead specimens of young Olea europaea from a recently planted olive grove in Valls (Tarragona), sixty specimens of a small anophthalmic osoriine belonging to the genus Leptotyphlopsis were collected. Al realizar un berlese de las raíces de unos ejemplares jóvenes de Olea europaea muertos, procedentes de un olivar recientemente plantado en Valls, Tarragona, se recolectaron sesenta ejemplares de un pequeño Osoriinae anoftálmico, perteneciente al género Leptotyphlopsis Scheerpelltz, 1931 Leptotyphlopsis espanyoli n. sp. se separa del resto de especies del género por la conformación del cuerpo y sobre todo por el órgano copulador masculino y el saco interno del mismo.
