Review of the genus Rhamna Peyerimhoff, 1913 (Coleoptera: Anobiidae, Mesocoelopinae). It is
accomplished the review of the genus Rhamna Peyerimhoff, 1913, created for R. semen of the north of
Africa and cited thereinafter of the south of the Iberian Peninsula. Very evolved genus, with a mean
height among 1.5 and 2.0 mm, of aspect external it is very uniform, but well differentiated specifically
for the aedeagus.
The genus at present understands the following species R. leonensis (Pic, 1927) described of
Sierre Leone, R. minuta (Pic, 1932) of Senegal, R. obscura Español, 1997 of Ghana, R. saudita Español,
1981 of Saudi Arabia, R. kinoshitai Sakai, 1993 of Nagasaki, R. yaeyamana Sakai, 1993 of the Iriomote
Island, R. bremeri Español & Viñolas, 1995 of Tanzania, R. peyerimhoffi Español & Viñolas, 1995 of
Soutpansberg, R. mestreae Español & Viñolas, 1996 of Kenya, R. espanyoli sp. n. of Rwanda, R. nigrita
sp. n. and R. wagneri sp. n. all they of Uganda.
