Abstract

Invasive species may create novel epidemiological scenarios in the invaded areas by changing the transmission dynamics of pathogens. Here we test the implication of two invasive species in the transmission of pathogens: the Asian tiger mosquito (vector) and the Monk parakeet (host) in Mediterranean areas.
