Este artículo expone algunos de los resultados obtenidos gracias a un estudio realizado por la Cátedra Ethos (Universitat Ramon Llull) y financiado por el Ayuntamiento de Barcelona. Se trata de una investigación destinada a captar la dimensión moral y social de la praxis de los usuarios de los Centros Deportivos Municipales de Barcelona. En primera instancia, nuestra pretensión fue analizar hasta qué punto estas personas establecían una relación positiva entre su actividad y determinados valores morales. En segundo lugar, también centramos nuestra atención en la manera como el deporte contribuía a mejorar o reforzar las relaciones sociales. A través de este informe hemos querido introducir elementos empíricos que nos permitan comprender mejor la autopercepción de los ciudadanos que utilizan este tipo de equipamientos deportivos. Gracias a este conocimiento estaremos en mejores condiciones para implementar mejoras que permitan generalizar socialmente la actividad deportiva. En definitiva, se trata de que la política deportiva actual siga promoviendo un deporte para todos.

This article exposes some of the results obtained thanks to a study carried out by the Ethos Chair (Universitat Ramon Llull) and supported by the City Council of Barcelona. This is an investigation aimed at capturing the moral and social dimension of the praxis of the users of the Municipal Sports Centers of Barcelona. In the first instance, our aim was to analyze to what extent these people established a positive relationship between their activity and certain moral values. Secondly, we also focused our attention on how sport contributed to improve or reinforce social relations. Through this report we wanted to introduce empirical elements that allow us to better understand the self-perception of citizens who use this type of sports equipment. Thanks to this knowledge we will be in better conditions to implement improvements that allow socializing the sports activity socially. In short, it is about that the current sports policy continues to promote a sport for all.
