Tratamiento psicoterapéutico grupal para la psicosis: comparación entre un grupo de psicosis incipiente y un grupo multifamiliar

Abstract

Psychosis is considered one of the most serious pathologies in mental health, because it generates the greatest suffering and psychological cost, both individually, family and socially. It is one of the main problems for public health care, so the group psychotherapeutic intervention, is a model of intervention appropriate to the care difficulties. The present work, has the purpose of studying the psychotherapeutic space that is offered in the Adult Mental Health Centers (CSMA) for the attention of the psychosis, with the interest of describing the adjustment of the treatments of each group to the pathology. Thus, is offered an analysis and comparison between the Group Psychotherapy of Incipient Psychosis and the Multifamily Psychotherapy applied to the treatment of families with psychotic experiences.

La psicosis, es considerada una de las patologías más graves en salud mental, ya que genera el mayor sufrimiento y coste psicológico, tanto individual como familiar y social. Supone, uno de los principales problemas para la atención en la salud pública, de modo que, la intervención psicoterapéutica grupal, es un modelo de intervención idóneo ante las dificultades asistenciales. El presente trabajo, tiene el propósito de estudiar el espacio psicoterapéutico que se ofrece en los Centros de Salud Mental de Adultos (CSMA) para la atención de la psicosis, con el interés de describir el ajuste de los tratamientos de cada grupo a la patología. Así, se ofrece un análisis y comparación entre la Psicoterapia grupal de Psicosis Incipiente y la Psicoterapia Multifamiliar aplicada a familias con experiencias psicóticas.
