Personalitat i autoregulació emocional en dones amb diagnòstic de fibromiàlgia

Abstract

La fibromiàlgia (FM) és una condició crònica i complexa que causa dolors generalitzats a tot el cos i esgotament profund, amb una prevalença molt major en dones que en homes. L’objectiu del present estudi ha estat aprofundir en les relacions que s’estableixen entre els patrons de personalitat i l’autoregulació emocional en dones amb FM i sense i fer una comparació entre aquestes. Es va administrar a 135 dones (35 amb FM i 70 sense FM) les següents proves: Ten-Item Personality Inventory i Trait Meta- Mood Scale 24. Els resultats indiquen que les dones amb FM obtenen puntuacions inferiors a la majoria d’escales dels qüestionaris, com també s’evidencia l’existència de relació entre els resultats d’aquests. En conclusió, les dones amb FM presenten un patró de personalitat amb tendència a la introversió, més inestabilitat emocional i preferència per allò conegut i/o tradicional, a més d’una menor reparació emocional, a diferència de les dones sense la malaltia.

The aim of the present study has been to delve into the relationships between personality patterns and emotional self-regulation in women with and without FM and to make a comparison between them. 135 women (35 with FM and 70 without FM) were given the following tests: Ten-Item Personality Inventory and Trait Meta- Mood Scale 24. The results indicate that women with FM score lower on most scales of the questionnaires, as evidenced by the existence of a relationship between the results of these. In conclusion, women with FM have a personality pattern with a tendency to introversion, more emotional instability and a preference for the known and / or traditional, as well as less emotional repair, unlike women without the disease.
