Recidivism in the Programme of Mediation and Reparation for Minors (Executory report)

Abstract

This quantitative research updates the recidivism rate related to young offenders after their participation, in 2008, in a penal mediation and reparation program (MRM). These juveniles were followed until June 2011 to see if they reoffended, both as juveniles or as adults. The research analyses the profile of this group of young offenders and the characteristics from those who were found recidivists. The study also compares this intervention (MRM) with others possibilities of diversion, admonishment, etc.
