This paper is aimed to raise, quantify and rank constructive interventions in modernist homes built between 1950 and 1970 in the city of La Plata, Buenos Aires, in order to restore their energy and thus achieve an improvement in the thermal comfort inside of them.
The architectural heritage is a very significant factor for cities and rationalist homes built in the chosen period are part of the heritage, forgotten and not valued, in the city of La Plata.
The first step was the selection of four housing types of this period and their energetic analysis, taking into account their solar radiation, the thermal transmittances and the global losses.
Once the results were obtained, we recommended the interventions needed for the improvement of the thermal envelope and their ranking.
In the last instance, we quantified the economy and recalculated transmittance and losses to check that interventions really showed the desired improvements.
To conclude, the interventions raised in housing do present an improvement, and the estimated ranking, ultimately proved to be adequate. |
