El medio natural de Banasa: características y condicionantes

Abstract

Banasa town was located in the lower Sebou wadi in the North African region of Gharb. Its environment was dominated by extensive floodplains few meters high over the Atlantic Ocean that delimits the west. Its situation at the banks of a navigable channel was beneficial for its trading activities and the exploitation of agricultural resources. However, the physical environment also showed some drawbacks in the form of frequent floods that inundated farmland or lack of structural elements such as stone and wood.
