Les noves mesures legislatives del Govern Espanyol estan promovent que cada vegada sigui més difícil el fumar. La prohibició de fumar en llocs públics, el preu del tabac, la concepció negativa que té la societat del fumador, i la pròpia conscienciació del problema, provoca que cada vegada més, els fumadors cerquin tractaments eficaços per deixar de fumar. Amb la incursió dels smartphones i de les possibilitats tecnològiques que ofereixen, s'ha obert una nova alternativa als tractaments per deixar de fumar. L'objectiu d'aquest treball és indagar l'efectivitat de les apps, fer una comparació entre elles, i establir carències i necessitats.

The new legislative measures of the Spanish Government make it harder to smoke. The ban on smoking in public places, the negative image of the smoker and self-awareness of the problem, is forcing that the smokers seek effective treatments for quitting smoking. With the incursion of smartphones, and the possibilities that offered this technology, it has opened a new alternative to the treatments for quitting smoking. The aim of this study is to assess if the present smartphone applications (apps) are effective for smoking cessation, to make a comparison of the various existing applications, and establish deficiencies and needs.

La prohibición de fumar en lugares públicos, el precio del tabaco, la concepción negativa que tiene la sociedad del fumador, y la propia concienciación del problema, provoca que cada vez más, los fumadores busquen tratamientos eficaces para dejar de fumar. Con la incursión de los smartphones y de las posibilidades tecnológicas que ofrecen, se ha abierto una nueva alternativa a los tratamientos para dejar de fumar. El objetivo de este trabajo es indagar la efectividad de las apps, hacer una comparación entre ellas, y establecer carencias y necesidades.
