El propòsit d'aquest article és revisar l'estat actual dels llibres electrònics, descrivint el seu abast potencial, destacant informació de les recents enquestes d'ebrary tot relacionant-la amb l'experiència sobre el terreny de l'autora amb els estudiants i parlant dels reptes en aquestes obres en evolució.
