Família i escola: col·laborem per a una societat més coeducadora

Abstract

Treballar la igualtat de gènere a les escoles esdevé un fet primordial i necessari per adaptar-se a la realitat social actual. Consegüentment, és forçós que el personal docent estigui format per poder portar a la pràctica la coeducació d’una forma adequada i puguin reflexionar entorn de les dinàmiques que sempre s’han considerat com a vàlides, però que estan molt lluny de ser pràctiques coeducadores. Si més no, perquè la coeducació pugui tractar-se de forma transversal i efectiva és incondicional la cooperació família i l’escola. Per aquest motiu, l’objectiu principal d’aquesta investigació és conèixer com treballen la coeducació a diferents escoles, com ho viuen les famílies i fins a quin punt es realitzen formacions per part de l’escola dirigides a les famílies. En el present estudi han participat 60 mestres, 91 famílies donant resposta a dos qüestionaris i una experta de la coeducació aportant la seva experiència a una entrevista. Els resultats de l’estudi suggereixen que la majoria dels i les mestres han rebut formacions sobre coeducació, però que, tot i això, no se senten del tot preparades per tractar el tema amb les famílies. La majoria també exposen que no duen a terme formacions amb les famílies tractant la coeducació. Per la seva banda, les famílies sí que declaren el seu interès de rebre formacions sobre coeducació per part de l’escola i la majoria afirma que fins al moment no n’ha rebuda. Així mateix, el document conclou amb l’afirmació que queda molta feina per fer per tal de poder garantir la igualtat de gènere i que continua sent un repte de la societat actual.

Working on gender equality in schools is essential and necessary. Consequently, it’s imperative that teachers need to be prepared to be able to put it into practice in an appropriate way and to be able to reflect on the dynamics that have always been considered valid, but which are far from being coeducational practices. Nonetheless, in order for coeducation to be dealt with in a transversal and effective way, joint training of the family and the school is unconditional.Therefore, the aim of this research is to examine how coeducation works in different schools, how families experience it and to what extent joint training is carried out between the two agents. Thus, 60 teachers, 91 families and one coeducation professional took part in this study. Specifically, two questionnaires and an interview were used. The results of the study suggest that most teachers have received formation on coeducation, but that, despite this, they don’t feel very prepared to deal with it, especially with families. Most of them also say that they don’t carry out joint training with families on coeducation. For their part, families do declare their interest in receiving formation on coeducation from the school and the majority state that they have not received any so far. Overall, the document concludes with the statement that there is still a lot of work to be done in order to guarantee gender equality and that it continues to be a challenge in today's society.
