Request for information for the supply of a learning platform for La Salle Open University

Abstract

In this project the requirements of a learning platform for a global, open and methodological innovative university, the first Open University of the Lasallian network, are presented. But choosing a Learning Management System for a new university that fulfill these requirements is not an easy task: more than 20 solutions can be found in the market, all with different features and prices. To solve this, a bidding process was started at the end of 2009 to choose the most suitable learning platform for La Salle Open University. This bidding process was framed under a Request for Information and in this document a detailed review, starting with defining the learning methodology of the new University and ending with the selection of the best Learning Management System for La Salle Open University, is presented.
