L'aprenentatge de les ciències experimentals a les aules hospitalàries: Elaboració d'una WebQuest

Abstract

Des dels seus orígens, les aules hospitalàries han complert amb l'objectiu d'atendre les necessitats educatives d'aquells infants que pateixen una malaltia i no poden anar a l'escola. Però malgrat els esforços de les mestres hospitalàries, el contacte entre els nens hospitalitzats i l'escola d'origen es va perdent a poc a poc; a més, el fet de treballar només les matèries instrumentals (català, castellà i matemàtiques) pot ser poc motivador per una part dels infants. Per tant, aquest treball vol ser un pla d'acció que proposa introduir les WebQuest com a eina per treballar les ciències experimentals i fomentar la comunicació sincrònica i asincrònica amb l'escola. Concretament hem elaborat una WebQuest i unes guies adreçades als infants i als seus mestres (tant de l'aula hospitalària de Sant Joan de Déu de Barcelona com de l'escola d'origen) per tal que els nens siguin capaços de crear les seves pròpies WebQuest, amb l'ajuda dels mestres. D'aquesta manera es pretén potenciar el treball de totes les àrees del coneixement, a més de donar un paper actiu al nen hospitalitzat i de permetre-li de mantenir el contacte amb els seus companys de l'escola.

Since their origins the hospital classrooms have achieved their aim: of taking care of the educational needs of sick children that cannot go to school. Despite the efforts of hospital teachers, the relationship between these children and their schoolmates gradually weakens. Moreover, the fact that they only study fundamental subjects (Catalan, Spanish and Mathematics) can be discouraging for some children. Given this, this project tries aims to propose a technologic instrument, WebQuest, as a tool to work experimental science and, at the same time, to encourage synchronous and asynchronous communication with the school. Specifically, we have created a WebQuest and some guides addressed to children and their teachers (from the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona as well from school of origin) so that children will be able to create their own WebQuest, helped by their hospital teachers. Thus, we seek to foster the work on all the subjects and give an active role to hospitalised children while enabling them to keep in touch with their classmates from the school of origin.
