Efectos de un programa de electroestimulación neurosmuscular en extremidad inferior en paciente adulto con EPOC moderada-severa

Abstract

Pregunta clínica de investigación: ¿es efectiva la utilización de electroestimulación neuromuscular en extremidad inferior para mejorar niveles de fuerza y calidad de vida en paciente adulto con EPOC? Objetivo: analizar la eficacia de la electroestimulación neuromuscular junto a un programa de rehabilitación respiratoria en relación a la fuerza y calidad de vida en paciente adulto con EPOC. Diseño y método: se trata de un estudio experimental, concretamente de un ensayo clínico controlado a simple ciego y aleatorio. El cual se realizará en dos grupos. Los pacientes tendrán entre 40 y 80 años de edad y con un estadio GOLD II/III. El protocolo tendrá una duración de 8 semanas. Grupo experimental: el grupo realizará rehabilitación respiratoria junto a un programa de electroestimulación neuromuscular en extremidad inferior. Grupo control: el grupo realizará rehabilitación respiratoria junto a un programa de TENS en extremidad inferior.

Clinical research question: is neuromuscular electrical stimulation in lower limb more effective than using it as a placebo in an adult patient with COPD about levels as a strength, resistance and quality of life? Objectives: the aim of this project is to analyse the efficacy of neuromuscular electrostimulation along with a respiratory rehabilitation program in terms of strength and quality of life in adult patients with COPD. Design and method: there is a randomized controlled trial with single blind. Which is carried out with two groups. Patients must be between 40 and 80 years old with a GOLD II/III stage. The protocol will last 8 weeks. Specific group: the intervention group will carry out a respiratory rehabilitation with a neuromuscular electrostimulation program in lower extremity. Non-specific group: control group will carry out a respiratory rehabilitation with a TENS program in lower extremity.
