El turisme com a element transformador del paisatge costaner

Abstract

This study focuses on the analysis of the coastal landscape of the Costa Brava, taking neighbourhood of La Fosca (Palamós) as a case study. Is detail the relationship between the tourist development of the area and the degradation of the coastal pine forests, an essential element of the landscape that attracts tourists. The objective is to assess the current landscape protection regulations and contextualize them with the neighbourhood’s current dynamics. The analysis reveals the landscape's significant lack of protection and vulnerability, particularly of the pine forests. Additionally, active conflicts in the neighbourhood suggest the need to strengthen these regulations to prevent the disappearance of the landscape, which is threatened by the proliferation of impermeable surfaces due to the constant urbanization with second homes

Aquest estudi es focalitza en l'anàlisi del paisatge litoral de la Costa Brava, prenent com a cas d’estudi el barri palamosí de la Fosca. Es detalla la relació entre el desenvolupament turístic de la zona i la degradació de les pinedes litorals, un element essencial d’aquest paisatge que atrau als turistes. L'objectiu és avaluar les normatives de protecció paisatgística vigents i contextualitzar-les amb les dinàmiques actuals del barri. L’anàlisi evidencia la desprotecció i vulnerabilitat al qual esta sotmès el paisatge, en concret les pinedes. També s'han identificat conflictes actius al barri que suggereixen la necessitat d'endurir aquestes normatives per evitar la desaparició del paisatge, amenaçat per la proliferació de sòl impermeabilitzat causada per la urbanització constant de segones residències
