Un tesorillo de bronces bajoimperiales de la Ciutadella de Roses fechado en el siglo VI = A coin hoard of Late Roman bronze coins dating from Late Antiquity (VI century) from Ciutadella de Roses

Abstract

The present paper describes the excavation of a hoard of Late Roman bronze coins, which can be dated, archaeologically, to the VIth century. It is an important finding due to its chronology and also its situation in addition to the fact that a little part of a gold necklace was hoarded with the coins. At the same time, this paper aims to explain the situation of this hoard in relation to the others known in the northeast extreme of the Iberian Peninsula and how it can be related to the monetary circulation of the moment

En el presente artículo se describe el hallazgo de un tesorillo de moneda de bronce bajoimperial que se puede fechar arqueológicamente en el siglo VI. Se trata de un hallazgo relevante dada su cronología, su situación y el hecho de que iba acompañado de una pequeña pieza de collar de oro. Del mismo modo se contextualiza el hallazgo arqueológicamente y también se apunta su relación con los tipos de ocultaciones monetarias documentadas en el territorio, así como su inserción en la circulación
