[eng] In the thesis 'Algo va de Stan a Pedro. Parèmies populars a les traduccions romaneses integrals del Quijote' (http://diposit.ub.edu/dspace/handle/2445/57803?locale=es), we have analysed the translation of a significant selection (52%) of the popular Spanish proverbs that appear in Don Quixote (and therefore in the two comprehensive Romanian versions of the same text: Frunzetti and Papu, 1965; Mărculescu, 2005). The four decades that separate the two translations reveal interesting differences in personal, cultural and social points of view; aspects the translators have had to face in order to interpret, in the Romanian style, the paremiological wealth of Don Quixote. The aim of this article is to describe the translation criteria used in the thesis. It is based on the fundamental distinction between equivalences (coincident proverbs in a formal and/or conceptual level in both languages) and adaptations (when the translator is not able to find an equivalence and thus must resort to other resources - perhaps providing a literal translation, a paraphrase or endowing it with a certain 'paremiological air'). Having established how the proverbs are translated, we then analyse their use in the two Romanian versions of Cervantes' masterpiece. Key words: Don Quixote. Romanian. Paremiology. [spa] En la tesis «Algo va de Stan a Pedro . Parèmies populars a les traduccions romaneses integrals del Quijote», analizamos la traducción de una selección significativa (el 52%) de las paremias populares (o clásicas) de lQuijote en las dos versiones integrales que existen en rumano (Frunzetti y Papu, 1965 ; Mărculescu, 2005). Las cuatro décadas que separan ambas traducciones ponen de relieve interesantes diferencias de índole personal, cultural, social..., con las que los traductores han tenido que lidiar en su intento de trasladar a la realidad rumana el acervo de las paremias quijotescas. En este artículo pretendemos describir el criterio traductológico elaborado en dicha tesis, el cual se basa en la distinción fundamental entre equivalencias (paremias coincidentes desde el plano formal o conceptual en ambas lenguas) y anuestramientos (cuando el traductor, ante la imposibilidad de encontrar una equivalencia , debe recurrir a otros recursos: traducir literalmente el refrán, glosarlo o bien dotar su versión de cierto aire parémico), así como ofrecer los resultados de su aplicación a las dos traducciones rumanas integrales de la obra maestra cervantina.
