Without the shadow of a doubt, Tarraco was Rome’s gateway to the Iberian Peninsula and a crucial city for understanding the historical and ideological evolution of our classical past. Even today, the modern city of Tarragona is a fount of knowledge that constantly provides new information and raises new scholarly questions.
