dc.description.abstract |
secundaria. English: The aim of the Project is to evaluate the possibility of reusing the bands allocated to satellite communications for the establishment of short-distance wireless links between terrestrial wireless secondary terminals (unlicensed) under the restriction to preserve the quality of satellite operator primary communications. Taking as the starting point the studies conducted about the reuse of terrestrial television bands (IEEE 802.22) by terminals called cognitive, this project tries to extend earlier research to the satellite bands. In our case, we have focused on the bands assigned to satellite television broadcasting. The aim of this study has been to determine the number of secondary users and the area of the secondary network that it enable coexistence of a terrestrial secondary network in the same band as the signal of satellite television. This research had developed through a series of simulations by Matlab program. Lastly, in order to improve the reuse of the band for unlicensed users, we have studied to the use of beamforming, replacing parabolic antenna by array of antennas in the primary receptor. In this way, we can reduce the interference on the primary user caused by the secondary network users. |
