dc.description.abstract |
[ANGLÈS] The Pont del Treball was a structure, from the early twentieth century, located in
Barcelona. Unlike the historical works related to the world of architecture, on which we
can find plenty of information, and most of them are cataloged, documentation related
to engineering structures in many cases is scarce or nonexistent. There are a lot of
cases in which structures are demolished without being reported. The Pont del Treball
is a clear example of an structure that could be forgotten if any study or document is
written. In this way, this minor thesis aims of studying the mentioned structure, which had
social impact, since its construction in the Sagrera neighborhood. In this sense a
historical view is done, including all the periods of the service life of the bridge, from the
original project until its demolition and substitution. |
