Research is a priority activity and one of the fundamental aims of the Ramon Llull University, as it nurtures the ability to expand both knowledge and the teaching capacity of universities. For this reason, URL has increased in the last years, the equity for R+D+I and has prioritized efforts to obtain external funding (public and private) to finance this activity.

URL understands the R+D+I as a public service that promotes the general advancement of knowledge and its return to society. Our research activity focuses on three areas of strategic focus: Technology, Management and Social sciences and humanities. At the same time, URL drives innovation through research to address major social challenges and to promote the transfer of research results.
