Torra Roca, Jorge Estels Estadística matemàtica Astronomia Stars Mathematical statistics Astronomy An accurate determination of the Malmquist bias is obtained using an analytical approach which takes into account a more realistic space distribution than that in the traditional Malmquist approximation.
