Because of this reality, international organizations recommend boosting the role of consumer organizations when dealing with communication of food information. However, in Spain the approval of Royal Decree 538/2015, 26 June, which regulates the preparation of studies, reports and comparative analysis on food products (BOE nº 153, de 27/06/2015) has shown that there are significant difficulties when trying to follow these recommendations because of the clash between public authorities and consumer organizations.</subfield>
