The tool is referred to as LearnSQL (Learning Environment for Automatic Rating of Notions of SQL). LearnSQL is able to provide automatic feedback, and grade the responses of relational database exercises. It can assess the acquisition of knowledge and practical skills in relational database that are not assessed by other systems. The paper also reports on the impact of using the tool over the past 8 years by 2500 students.
