<dcterms:abstract>A study was conducted in a region with underground streams to analyze and compare results obtained from Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVRS) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) measurements. The investigation aimed to identify differences between areas near the subterranean streams and those farther away. Results revealed that in regions potentially influenced by stream-related materials, HVRS spectral ratios displayed a characteristic double peak. This feature was absent in areas further from the streams. Similarly, GPR B-scans showed a significant increase in clutter within stream-affected zones, attributed to the geological composition of these areas. These findings highlight the effectiveness of combining HVRS and GPR techniques for characterizing subsurface features in areas with complex hydrogeological conditions. The study provides valuable insights into how subterranean stream dynamics influence geological structures, which is essential for engineering, environmental, and hydrological applications.</dcterms:abstract>
