   <dc:subject>Pedagogical polarization</dc:subject>
<dc:description>This article advocates for a balanced and constructive approach to integrating technology in education, criticizing both the extreme removal of screens from classrooms and their uncritical, excessive imposition. The author argues that avoiding technology in schools is a failure to equip young people for the unavoidable digital world, leaving them vulnerable to ills such as cyberbullying, addiction, and the exploitation by sophisticated AI-driven content. A core tenet is the necessity of structured technological education as a dedicated subject, asserting that without it, the teaching of responsible technology use will fail. The text emphasizes that schools must function as controlled environments for intentional learning where technology is both taught and used to foster responsible digital citizens. It also criticizes the harmful polarization surrounding the issue and the reduction of teachers' digital competence to a mere certificate. Instead of demonizing screens, the focus should be on effective didactic strategies to prepare thinking individuals for the digital age.</dc:description>
