<dcterms:abstract>This paper explored the resilience of the agri-food supply chain in the context of the COVID-19 disruption and identifies practical lessons to improve the organizational response and recovery of firms after the unprecedented crisis. Structural equation modelling was employed to examine organizational resilience of Catalan agri-food supply chain based on social capital theory. We found that the supply chain showed flexibility amid the pandemic when it came to meeting the basic requirements of a confined population. The results reveal that social capital, firm size and marketing channel diversification contribute to assuring organizational survival. Structural capital was identified as a key factor with regard to enhancing both the reactive and proactive resilience of firms.</dcterms:abstract>
