      <subfield code="a">En aquest projecte es realitzará la definició d`un model que permeti calcular la resposta a la fatiga de materials compostos formats per làmines ud, amb l`objectiu de permetre l`adaptació d`aquesta metodologia al càlcul d`estructures navals. De la mateixa manera, es vol proposar un model que permeti estudiar el comportament del compost relacionant les propietats d`aquest amb les propietats dels materials que el conformen, permetent d`aquesta manera l`adaptació a diferents materials. Durant la realització del projecte es treballarà amb un laminat conformat amb fibra de vidre i una matriu de polièster. primer de tot, es farà un bagatge entorn dels estudis fets en el camp de la fatiga en materials compostos. Seguidament, s`estudiaran un seguit de models amb l`objectiu de caracteritzar de manera correcta el comportament del compost. Finalment, un cop s`hagi parametritzat el model, s`estudiarà el comportament de diferents laminats sotmesos a diferents condicions de càrrega per tal d`obtenir un model de falla general. L`obtenció d`aquest model de falla permetria reduir el cost computacional de grans estructures, en reduir el nombre de capes que es requerirà simular.</subfield>

      <subfield code="a">In this project, our objective is to develop a model capable of calculating the fatigue response of composite materials composed of UD layers. The ultimate goal is to adapt this methodology for the calculation of naval structures. Similarly, we aim to propose a model that can analyse the behaviour of  composites  by  establishing  correlations  between  composite  properties  and  the  properties  of their constituent materials, so the capacity to adapt to other materials is provided. The project will be conducted using laminates consisting of fiberglass with a polyester matrix. Initially, the existing studies on fatigue in composite materials will be reviewed to establish a solid foundation.  Subsequently,  different  models  will  be  studied  to  accurately  characterize  composite behaviour.  Once  the  model  is  parameterized,  behaviour  ofvarious  laminates  under  different loading  conditions  will  be  studied  to  develop  a  general  failure  model.  The  development  of  this model is significant as it has the potential to reduce computational costs associated with simulating large structures by minimizing the number of layers required for simulation.</subfield>
