00925njm 22002777a 4500 dc Vives Bassas, Pau author Andreu Galan, Jose-Carlos author 2013-07-09 Aquest treball de fi de carrera està emmarcat dins del projecte Eduloc de la Fundació Itinerarium que pretén fomentar l’aprenentatge basat en la localització mitjançant la utilització de dispositius mòbils. El projecte Eduloc pretén oferir les eines tecnològiques i una metodologia que permetin a alumnes i professors crear i viure experiències basades en la localització, aprendre dins d’un context, descobrir un entorn, enriquir-lo i fins i tot treballar en projectes que tinguin impacte o incidència sobre el territori. A la vegada es pretén situar l’alumne en el centre del procés d’aprenentatge i motivar-lo en la realització de projectes reals en què es treballin diferents àrees del coneixement. El treball es centra en el disseny de l’aplicació mòbil per al projecte Eduloc. Per crear una aplicació amb potencial per a l’aprenentatge, i adequada a les necessitats d’alumnes i professors, s’ha decidit desenvolupar prèviament una prova pilot de l’aplicació per avaluar la usabilitat, detectar mancances i incorporar noves funcionalitats a partir de les opinions dels usuaris. Inicialment s’ha definit el disseny de l’aplicació pilot: s’han establert els requeriments que ha de complir, s’han analitzat les funcionalitats bàsiques, s’han definit les diferents pantalles així com també la navegació entre elles. A continuació s’ha programat aquesta aplicació pilot analitzant les parts de codi que s’han cregut més importants. Es tracta d’una aplicació per a dispositius iPhone i dispositius mòbils amb sistema operatiu Android que s’ha programat mitjançant un framework de creació d’aplicacions mòbils multiplataforma anomenat Titanium. Una vegada desenvolupada l’aplicació pilot, s’ha publicat als mercats d’aplicacions Apple Store i Google Play perquè alguns professors la puguin fer servir amb els seus alumnes. El següent pas ha consistit a preparar una enquesta per conèixer què pensen els usuaris que es pot millorar de la versió pilot, identificar quines mancances té i també saber quines noves funcionalitats esperen de la nova versió. Finalment, a partir de les mancances detectades a la versió pilot, i coneixent les opinions dels usuaris, s’ha concretat el disseny de la nova versió molt més completa que l’anterior des d’una perspectiva pedagògica, d’usabilitat i tecnològica. English: This "TFC" is framed inside the Eduloc project from Fundació Itinerarium, whose main mission is to promote location-based learning through the use of mobile devices. The Eduloc project pretends to offer the technological tools and a methodology to empower students and teachers to create and live location based experiences, learn inside a context, discover an environment, enrich it, or what's more, they could even work in projects that have a positive impact on the area. At the same time the methodology tries to situate the student in the centre of the learning process and motivate him or her to work in real projects that involve different knowledge areas. This work is focused on the design of the mobile application for the Eduloc project. To create a powerful application for learning, that suits the needs of both students and teachers, we are going to build a pilot test application to evaluate the usability, detect its initial weaknesses and add new functionalities from the users' feedback. Initially we have defined the design of the pilot test: we have defined the requirements that have to be accomplished, analysed the basic functionalities that have to be implemented, the user interface and the navigation inside the application. Next, we have developed the application and we have collected in this memory the most remarkable snippets of code and commented its relevance inside this project. The mobile application is available for iPhone and Android devices and it has been developed with a cross-platform mobile development framework called Titanium. Once the development phase has finished, the application has been published in the App Store and Google Play in order to make it available to anyone that is interested in using it. The next step we have taken is to prepare a survey to send to our users to receive feedback on how they were using the app, its weaknesses and what they could expect from a new version of the application. From the feedback received we began to design and develop a new application that improves greatly the previous version.
