Self-Organizing Manufacturing Control Based on Wasp Behaviour Kachachi Fernández, Nabel Àrees temàtiques de la UPC::Economia i organització d'empreses::Direcció d'operacions Industrial organization Organització industrial Th eobjective of this project work is to develop a procedure for self-organizing manufacturing controlling, based on wasp behaviour, which can take various operational goals (e.g. minimization of lead time, maximizations of utilization) into account. This results in the following tasks: -Research of literature on already existing approaches for self-organizing manufacturing control. -Identification of possible goals for manufacturing systems. -Development of a prototypal method for the self-organizing manufacturing control based on the wasp behaviour using as basis the work of CICIRELLO and SMITH (2001, 2002). -Discussion of necessary modifications for a practical implementation.
